Interesting Convos...

So today I had a very interesting conversation with one of the guys I had been talking to through email. It began strangely. I was linked to a conversation with another woman from Europe who was not happy about the experience at all. After mentioning that I did not need a play by play of the strange conversation he was having with her I was rebuffed as a narrow-minded American who has no concern for others when the other woman could be someone fun to toy with...

...huh? Then came the inevitable "All Americans are the same; You are a typical American; yadda yadda ya." When I mentioned that all Americans are not the same since many come from outside of the U.S. to begin with, I was called a kid and aggressive...once again, huh? After that I pretty much decided to end the conversation there and move on to talking to someone else when I got a question that literally sent me into a giggle fit..."Is it painful being black?" I couldn't even be offended I was too busy laughing. I responded with how it isn't since I never sunburn or something and promptly said good-bye.

Shame. I was beginning to enjoy the conversations with him, granted we hadn't been talking for that long. I'll chock it up to meeting new people, some of them strange, and hope that my next few conversations are as interesting but a good deal more productive...
