New Music...

In Korea I was known as an authority on kpop music in many ways. I follow kpop and jpop waaay more than music from the USA. That fact hasn't changed even though I'm back in the USA. Now it just means that I have to once again try harder to listen to new music rather than being able to walk down the street and hear whatever the newest single is. Today is one of my massive music research days to see what some of my favorite artists have released in the past few months.

So starting with SNSD(소녀시대). I've been enjoying their single "Chocolate Love" although it has been out for a little while now. Mostly I think I like it because...well I'm brown and kind of chocolate-y*^^* Anyway the video is cute-sy and the song is very catchy. I can dance to it and enjoy listening to it loudly as I drive down the highway. Listen for yourself...

Another always favorite of mine is Kwon BoA. I've listened to her since she debuted back in 2001. Yes even back then I was in love with asian music and used my pitiful dial-up connection to its fullest (it often took 3hrs to download one song*^^*) Anyhoo lately at the gym I've been listening to her song "Energetic". I used to listen to this song when I worked out at the gym in Korea and back home is no exception. It's very upbeat and definitely gets me motivated to work out for just a little bit longer...

My last one is 2NE1's "Try to Follow Me". The digital single was released just a few weeks ago and they are in the process of getting a music video for the single. It's another great song for pushing me to work out just a bit longer than I may have without music...
