So yesterday was the first day of my month long summer session classes. Pretty much the entire month of June Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm I will be in class. It cuts into my work hours but it helps me graduate faster than if I didn't have the month long classes. And the subjects that we are going over are actually quite interesting(hence why I'm in grad school in the first place).
Yesterday was opening day in that we spent more time watching a few videos and doing group assignments. They had a nice little breakfast available for us(which I missed from being late) and we got to meet with all of the other cohorts that we will be graduating with either this winter or next spring. We watched a documentary that really got me thinking titled "Two Million Minutes." It's about 13mins long so I figured I'd post it on my blog for anyone who wanted to watch it. It gives an interesting perspective on education and what it means for teens in the U.S., India and China...

Part 2
Anyway, there will probably be more posts about education this month because of the month long classes. But it's interesting to see what I'll be getting into if I do decide to stay in the U.S. for teaching though it is rather unlikely....
