Gym Diary....

So today was the beginning of my slim-down to summer. Coming back to the US(land of bigger portions) has negatively affected my waistline....or maybe I should say positively affected as it is growing out of control. In Korea, I didn't really eat sweets or bread because it was a bit expensive. I wasn't always at Paris Baguette or the other random bread shops. Also I was walking a ton more than I am able to do now. The neighborhood I live in now has sidewalks which is a definite plus. Now if I can't get to the gym during the day I can at least jog/walk outside with my dog Bella without fear of getting run over.

So I'm making a conscious effort to work out at least 5 times/week and eat healthier. It helps that my friend Min is also wanting to get back in shape. We also have set a specific goal timewise. It helps to have a buddy to keep you on task so hopefully I will be able to get back in shape and become healthier. I'm not going to post my weight here...at least not yet. Perhaps when I start seeing progress I'll post the progress I see.

On another note...why is it that guys want to approach me when I'm at the gym?! I mean, here I am sweating and grunting like a wounded animal, and this guy is just chatting me up. Then comes the inevitable, "Are you married?" which I reply, "No but I have a boyfriend." Usually then guys tend to nod and turn away, but no. This guy had some serious balls and replied, "Shame you should be married. Call me if you want to be."....wow dude. Wow. I admire your balls...but not really...

After that I decided to get back to my regularly schedule work-out. Jogged for 45mins, Elliptical for 20mins and then weights for about 20-25mins. It's always good to get some weight training in there rather than just doing cardio alone since adding muscle can help boost your metab level. Hopefully tomorrow I can get in an un-interrupted workout...=^^=
