Interesting weekend roadtrip...

So this weekend my older sister and i decided to drive up to Illinois and visit my parents. Unfortunately not everything turned out as expected when we were attacked by a 18-wheeler truck part in the middle of the highway...

Both the front and back tires were destroyed...

This is what the front tire looked like after whatever it was in the road got done with it...

I'm definitely not the kind of girl afraid of a little work...evident by the grease on my hands from loosening the nuts from the tire so we could put on the donut and get to the tire shop...

Thankfully we found an amazing tire shop in podunk Illinois that had both tires that we were looking for....

After my dad got a rental car I finally made it back home in time to get ready for another day of work...

....such an interesting adventure...
